Research Of Camera Angles

I am going to start researching different types of camera angles, such as: close ups, extreme close ups, long shots and medium shots. This will then help me decide what kind of camera shot I would like to use in my final magazine design.

This picture is a long shot, I think the image is relevant for this type of magazine as its about sports and the image has a man playing sports. This is also relevant as he is in a football kit so the long shot shows him playing a sport. I think this camera shot is really effective as it shows him in action. I also like how it looks off guard with his face expressions.

This magazine has a medium long shot, It is relevant to the magazine as its called 'glamour' and the lady on the front is very glamorous and girly. This shot could also be used to show her nice figure, and to be an idol for other girls. I like how they have used this shot as it shows style and her face expressions show she is happy and very confident by the way she is standing.

This magazine has used a medium close up, this could be to catch the readers eyes. The way he has direct eye contact with the reader draws you in to the magazine. I think this medium close up is good as the colour of his jacket goes with the masthead. I think the image is relevant for the magazine as he is a famous singer, and will be recognised by the readers.

Now I have done some research on camera angles I think I have more of an idea of what I will use in mine, looking at music magazine most of the images are long shots or medium close up shots therefore I am going to use a medium close up. This is because I think its more relevant for the theme music, and also I think it will draw the reader in to my magazine.
